Food shopping for this week is:

  • Peppers – £1.00
  • Mushrooms – £0.90
  • Eggs – £2.00
  • Frying steak – £4.50

Subtotal – £8.40. Bought on the way home from my holiday in order to make breakfasts and lunches for the working week.

  • 2 x soap – £3.00
  • 2 x tissues – £1.10
  • Something I can’t read – £1.65
  • Toothpaste – £0.35
  • Cauliflower – £0.90
  • Onions – £0.60

Subtotal – £7.60. Mostly top-ups of items we’d run out of.

  • Olives – £2.50 (bought another jar this month and my husband thought it was old and threw it out two days later!)
  • 2 x shower gell – £1.80
  • Peppers – £1.00
  • Avocados – £1.75
  • Mushrooms – £0.90
  • Bacon – £1.15
  • Cheese – £1.85
  • Chicken thighs – £1.64 (reduced)
  • Lamb half shoulder – £5.04 (reduced)
  • Beef brisket – £3.04 (reduced)

Subtotal £20.67 – breakfasts and lunches for w/c 27/04/15 have already been made out of this and there’s plenty left for next week.

  • Natural yoghurt – £0.55
  • Crisps – £1.10

Subtotal £1.65 – total splurge on junk food at a weak point on Sunday!

Total – £38.32 – slighly over the weekly budget of £35, but a fair amount was soap/shower gel/tissues/toothpaste which don’t need to be bought every week. The lamb half shoulder was also an impulse buy as it was reduced and won’t be eaten straight away.
