Frugal spend – w/e 13/12/15

Out of this week’s budget of £4.22 (£15.88 overspend last week), I have spent:

  • Drink and flapjack at language meetup – £3.50
  • Dinner with friends – £13.00
  • Coffee and cake with friend – £3.79
  • Deposit for a meal next week – £10.00
  • Chocolate – £2.00

Total £32.29, -£28.07 into savings.

From my present fund (£350/year) I spent £50 on my parents’ Christmas present (my siblings and I usually club together and get them a joint present).

I made £40 from a side hustle so I’m putting £30 towards the overspend.

Food shopping

  • Pears – £0.80
  • Apples – £1.00
  • Chocolate orange – £1.50
  • Lamb steak – £1.99
  • Pork steaks – £0.99
  • Eggs – £2.00
  • Lemons – £1.10

Subtotal – £9.38

  • Fruit and nuts – £6.99
  • Ginger – £1.99
  • Chocolate – £0.60

Subtotal – £9.58

Total – £18.96

Running total for December- monthly budget £150, £68.80 spent, £81.20 remaining.
