Frugal spend – w/e 20/12/15

Out of this week’s budget of £30 (carried over £10 from side hustle last week), I have spent:

  • Train ticket – £5.40
  • Dinner with language group – £26
  • Eye test – £10

Total £41.40, -£11.40 into savings.

From my dentist savings (£20) I spent £18.80 on an annual check-up.

From £6 on a gift card from last Christmas, I spent £1.85 on wool for a Christmas present.

From my £20 monthly travel budget, I spent £16.20 on train tickets to visit my family.

Food shopping

  • Butter – £3.25
  • Chocolate orange – £1.50
  • Boursin pepper cheese – £1.99
  • Washing powder – £4.00

Subtotal – £10.74

  • Caster sugar – £1.50
  • Condensed milk x 2 – £2.00
  • Unsalted butter x 4 – £3.40
  • Dark chocolate for cooking x 12 – £4.20
  • Pack of dates x 2 – £3.00
  • Burgers – £2.49
  • Bread – £0.19
  • Doughnuts – £0.80
  • Limes – £0.70

Subtotal – £18.28

  • Chocolate orange – £1.50
  • Mushrooms – £0.85
  • Chicken – £5.00

Subtotal – £7.35

Total – £36.37

Running total for December- monthly budget £150, £105.17 spent, £44.83 remaining.
